I finally got to sit and read when we got on the plane. When we got there it was awesome. We unpacked, then explored the hotel. After we settled in Mr. Spencer said we were going on a treasure hunt, which turned out to be a test and a ten mile walk. Luckily my group won the test, and we each got our choice of a free shirt! Yay! We went on the beach at our hotel and found some shark snot! YUCK! The boys even touched it, they said it felt like those sticky hand strings you get at the grocery store in the balls for 25 cents. We also went to Schooner bay and learned about invasive species and sand dune dimineshment.
We had a great dinner w/ chicken and ribs at a very nice person's house.
Day 2
We had to wake up at 6:30!!! The french toast we had for breakfast was great! We went on the ferry to Green turtle cay, and someone dropped their camera. But it was pouring rain, so our awesome chaperon let us rent a golf cart if we all donated a dollar. I had to sit on someones lap so we would all fit, and we laughed at everybody else in the rain! Luckily, it wasn't raining on the mainland and the blue hole was dry. Mr. Spencer threw me in, but Serena and Claire chickened out. Did you know the the first 30 ft. of the blue hole is fresh water, and the rest is salt water?.The next thing we did was go to Treasure cay beach and play volleyball and swim. We saw this weird fish that looked like a stingray that sent us screaming out of the water. Then we played moonlight capture the flag. It was awesome!!!
Day 3
This time we woke up at 6:00!!!!! We played Red rover, where you all hold hands and say Red rover Red rover let so and so come over. Man, it hurts! Then Chase tried to get me and Spencer to hold hands because she knows that I like him, which was embarrassing. Then we went on the ferry to Hope Town, which was alot like Harbour Island. We went to the school there to play kickball, and we won 21 to 12! Next, we went kayaking to the lighthouse, which was easy on the way there. We walked up 101 steps to the light house, I counted. Going back was soooooooo hard because we had to go against a very strong current. When we were walking back, a bird dropped suddenly from a telephone wire almost on Clarie's head and died. Mr. Spencer had to pick him up by his tail and throw him away. It was creepy!!! Then we got back and played Dead or Alive with the football, it's fun if the boys aren't playing. Then we practised for the Talent show.
Day 4
Today was the most fun ever!!!!!!! We went on the ferry to go to little harbor, and the ride was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First , the driver made it wavy for us so we were trying to stay up, we surfed on board!!! Then we sang BINGO, then Hockie-Pockie, then If your happy and you know it! It was fun! First, we went to the bat caves. It was scary and fun. You had to walk up a thin plank of wood and if you screamed or shone the light up the bats would fly around. Next, we went to the Bronze Foundation. Then we had a club sandwich w/ cookies, chips, crackers, and fruit. Next, we got on the boat to go to Mermaid reef. I slept the whole way. I wish I had an underwater camera, Mermaid reef was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The parrot fish were beautiful, and I saw a HUGE Grouper!!! The Talent show was really fun, ever one thought our skit was funny. Hydie sang a poem!!! It was great!!!
Day 5
It is now the last day. All we did was pack and go souvenir shopping. It was fun though!
The plane was fun too. I sat w/ Angelique and we played UNO and chewed gum! Then when I got of the plane, Stephanie was there...YYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Abaco was fun, I wish we could do it all over again! Bye!
